About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Venue Manager to oversee the operations of our group of vibrant hospitality venues in the Macedon Ranges (The 1860 Hotel and The Lancefield Hotel). As Venue Manager - Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our venues, driving profitability, and leading a passionate team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This is a full-time position.
What you'll be doing
Manage the daily operations of multiple hospitality venues, including overseeing staffing, rostering, inventory management, and financial performance
Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer experience, increase revenue, and drive operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations
Collaborate with the broader team to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and the local community
What we're looking for
Extensive experience (3+ years) in a similar venue management role within the hospitality industry
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing venues and leading high-performing teams
Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills, with the ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Proven problem-solving abilities and a solutions-focused mindset
Thorough understanding of hospitality industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends
Relevant hospitality management qualifications or certifications are highly desirable
