We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Student Services Officer to join our team based in the heart of the Sydney CBD.
The ideal candidate should be a fast learner and a motivated team player who embraces change and advocates for continuous quality improvement with a "can do" attitude.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
First point of contact for students, staff, and external stakeholders, front counter responsibility
Assist with the organisation of student events, graduation, and orientation programs
Provide administrative and student support services in relation to enrolments, course advice, data entry, student record keeping, etc.
Respond to face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries promptly and professionally, in adherence to standards and procedures
Receipt of student fees and data entry as required
Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the student experience
Maintenance of student records and keep records up to date
Participate in meetings, as and when required
Provide quality customer service to students
Other administrative support and other duties as required
Coordinate and deliver smooth orientation sessions, including attendance tracking, student system setup, catering, and introductions.
Schedule and lead regular check-ins with the Sydney Student Services Officers to maintain communication and team alignment.
Meet weekly with Head of Student Experience to triage new tasks, share updates, and assign responsibilities across the team.
Oversee and manage the Sydney campus reception roster to ensure consistent coverage.
Regularly check and evenly assign tickets to maintain efficient workflow.
Support Head of Student Experience with event delivery.
Skills and experience:
Established experience in team coordination and leadership
Experience in the education or customer services sector
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills ensuring quality service
Adaptable to a changing work environment and ability to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise and a willingness to be flexible in undertaking administrative duties
Demonstrated computer literacy, including competencies in using Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets and student records software
