Company Description

The Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) is a not-for-profit membership association committed to disseminating information on corrosion and its prevention or control. Through training, seminars, conferences, publications and other activities, we provide our members with the knowledge and networking opportunities they need to excel in this field. Our vision is to manage corrosion sustainably and cost-effectively to ensure the health and safety of the community and protection of the environment. Our mission is to help society manage the impact of corrosion on asset durability.

This role reports to the CEO, working closely with the ACA Training Coordinator, the rest of the ACA team, ACA instructors, suppliers of equipment, and our training licensors.

Role Description

The Warehouse Coordinator is an integral member of the ACA team delivering high quality training programs throughout Australia and New Zealand. The role is responsible for managing training related equipment and materials such as the coatings inspection gauges, cathodic protection demonstration equipment, and other related equipment and consumables (including training manuals) for corrosion-related training. This role also organises freight consignments inwards and outwards of the ACA training kits, places and manages consumable orders, and ensures a safe working environment at the ACA warehouse.

In this role you will:

· Become familiar with the many gauges and equipment that used to train coatings inspectors, cathodic protection specialists, and general corrosion mitigation and management.

· Maintain optimal training equipment stock levels, quality, and controls.

· Maintain the equipment storage facility, plant, and equipment/ materials in a clean, safe and efficient manner.

· Develop, follow and or maintain training equipment related procedures.

· Provide periodical reporting relating to management of the training equipment and associated warehouse operations.

· Work closely with our instructors to ensure the equipment is calibrated and managed to a high level to ensure the equipment allows students to successfully complete the practical component of their courses.

· Liaise with suppliers of equipment, metal panels, and consumables to maintain ACA’s assets and the inventory of stock required to host Aca training.

- Liaise with team members and external receivers/senders for shipments (blast yard, private venue, training venue, etc.)

· Contribute to our financial sustainability by effectively sourcing consumables and ensuring our equipment is packed effectively, maintained, and repaired where appropriate.

· Work in a supportive and inclusive team environment with a safety focus, which supports each other and treats each other with respect.

What You Bring:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations or logistics.

· Formal qualifications in logistics, supply chain management or a related field desirable.

· A technical interest in gauges and equipment to quickly learn to speak with instructors and industry professionals about their requirements.

· Proficiency with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office suite.

· Experience working in a trade or technical sector would be a bonus.

· Good English communications.

In return, this is an opportunity to make this role your own in this open-minded, progressive ‘not for profit’ with plans to establish a new warehouse facility within the next month.

It is anticipated that this role will be required for 3 days per week (part-time) and will be located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. At this time, the ACA is based at 30A Jessie Street Preston, but new offices are currently under review in Coburg.

It is planned that the warehouse will be fitted with equipment to reduce the impact of manual bending and lifting.

Position Specific Requirements

Candidates must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work permit/visa to be eligible to apply.

Appointments will be subject to a satisfactory National Police check.

Salary: Approx $50k – 55k (based on experience) for 3 days per week, equivalent to $80k- $92k per annum.
