As a respected leader in the industry, we are expanding and seeking an experienced Estimator to become an integral part of our team.

About the role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Estimator who is passionate about construction and ready to make a difference. In this role, you will be responsible for providing precise cost estimates and developing competitive bids for a variety of marine and construction projects.

Your expertise will help ensure that our projects are competitively priced and financially viable, supporting our goal of delivering outstanding results ensuring estimates and cost plans for construction projects up to the tender settlement stage.

Job responsibilities:

At its core, the role is responsible for:

Cost Estimation: Preparing detailed cost estimates for marine construction projects, including labour, materials, equipment, and overheads.

Bid Preparation: Developing and submitting comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring they meet client specifications and project requirements.

Project Analysis: Analysing project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and identify potential cost implications.

Vendor Coordination: Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotes and assess their suitability for project needs.

Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing risks associated with project costs and propose mitigation strategies.

Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates.

Documentation: Maintaining thorough and organized records of estimates, bid proposals, and related documentation.

About the candidate

We’re searching for an Estimator who brings both experience and enthusiasm to the role. You should have a proven track record in construction estimation, ideally within the marine sector, with a strong grasp of construction processes and marine infrastructure. Your ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and your keen attention to detail will be key to your success. Effective communication is essential, as you will need to present complex information clearly and work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Skills and experiences:

Qualification: (mandatory)

· A Diploma or higher qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline

Work Experience: (mandatory)

· At least three (3) years’ post-qualification work experience as an estimator
