At PT Services & Air Conditioning, we're a fast-growing business delivering high-quality air conditioning and HVAC solutions across Brisbane. With an outstanding reputation for reliability and excellence, we are looking for a highly skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team.

This is not a position for someone looking to get off the tools; we're seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in estimating, quoting, and building relationships in the HVAC industry.

Our office is based in Brendale, and we work across the entire SEQ region.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Estimation Analysis: Analyse project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine material, labour, and time requirements for HVAC projects.

Tender Documentation & Preparation: Review and compile detailed tender documents, ensuring all specifications and requirements are met. Prepare and submit accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC installations and services.

Supplier and Subcontractor Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible pricing and value for projects.

Project Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors, on current and upcoming projects.

Vendor Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Skills and Experience:

Trade Qualification or Mechanical HVAC experience: A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the commercial HVAC sector, with a proven track record in estimating and quoting.

Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read and understand mechanical documentation and other construction-related documents.

HVAC Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and their components, including design, installation, and maintenance practices.

Computer Savvy: Proficient in MS Office Suite and Estimate One (training will be provided on other specific systems used).

Strong Communication Skills: This is, in part, a client-facing role. You’ll need to be confident in building relationships and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.

Client & Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in managing client relationships and meeting stakeholder expectations.

Time Management: Ability to work across multiple tenders simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising on accuracy or quality.
