The Opportunity
We’ve partnered with a highly regarded construction company specialising in insurance-funded residential and commercial projects across Southeast Queensland. With continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they’re now looking to bring on an experienced Estimator to join their Brisbane-based team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, well-structured business with a great reputation in the insurance building space. You’ll be working on a wide variety of projects—from detailed residential repairs to larger-scale commercial rebuilds—typically ranging between $200K and $10M in value.

The Role
As the Estimator, you’ll play a crucial part in the delivery process, from pricing up new jobs to working alongside project managers to ensure everything runs smoothly. The role is a blend of desk-based estimating and occasional site visits, with the majority of work focused on residential insurance claims (approx. 80%), and the rest in light commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and scopes of work for insurance projects
• Review damage assessments and conduct site inspections when required
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and availability
• Work closely with project managers, clients, and insurers
• Ensure timely and accurate quote submissions in line with insurer requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience estimating within the residential or insurance building space
• Comfortable working on projects ranging from $200K to $10M
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Familiar with industry-standard estimating tools and platforms
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
