About the role:
Our client is a leading firm looking to hire a mid level cloud infrastructure architect for their Australian business based out of Sydney. This is a critical local hire working closely with the Global Head of Architecture. You’ll be the sole Infrastructure & Cloud Architect in Australia, working alongside a tight-knit local IT team and a broader group of infrastructure and business domain architects across the UK.

This role blends cloud strategy, infrastructure design and hands-on delivery oversight - ideal for someone who’s just as confident designing Azure and hybrid environments as they are optimising legacy Wintel and Cisco networks.

What’s a typical day look like?

• Own the design and architecture of Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions
• Work across Wintel systems, Microsoft stack, Cisco networking (LAN/WAN) and ensure integration is seamless
• Provide expert architectural input across networks, systems, and cloud platforms
• Collaborate with architecture teams globally and local IT stakeholders across projects
• Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned to enterprise standards
• Act as the senior-most architectural voice in Australia across infrastructure and cloud domains

About you:

• 2-5yrs years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture
• Expertise in Azure, Microsoft stack, Wintel systems and Cisco network architecture
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments, including design and migration experience
• Exposure to LAN/WAN, security principles, infrastructure automation and performance tuning
• Ability to work autonomously and liaise effectively across international teams
