We're Hiring: Handy Person / Installer – Casual Role with Full-Time Potential

Creative Sensory Spaces | $35/hour | 30–40 hours/week | Travel Included

Do you love working with your hands, solving tricky problems, and bringing meaningful spaces to life?

Creative Sensory Spaces designs and installs calming, purpose-built sensory rooms across schools, hospitals, stadiums and community centres. We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on Handyperson to join our growing team and help bring our creative visions to life - from workshop fabrication to on-site installations around NSW and beyond.

🔧 The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

Building and Assembling– our signature sensory room pieces from our Warehouse

On-site installs – fitting out spaces in schools, health centres and public venues

Problem solving – every install is a little different, and we love a clever fix

Travel – you'll regularly hit the road for multi-day projects (accommodation + allowances covered)

Team leadership (future potential) – with the opportunity to grow into a full-time Team Lead role

This role starts casual (30–40 hours/week) with the option to move into a permanent full-time position after 3 months.

🛠️ We’re Looking for Someone Who:

Loves DIY and building things from scratch

Has strong problem-solving skills and thrives under pressure

Can work independently and as part of a small, passionate team

Presents professionally on-site and enjoys interacting with clients

Is confident making decisions and working autonomously

✅ Essential Requirements:

Experience using general tools and building materials

Physically fit (able to lift heavy objects safely)

Full driver’s licence

Able to obtain:

Working with Children Check

White Card (construction safety certification)

Available for frequent travel (sometimes overnight or interstate)

👷 Bonus Points If You:

Have experience in carpentry, joinery or fit-out work

Are looking to grow into a leadership or site supervisor role

Have worked in schools or care environments before
