We’re looking for a creative and proactive Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Townsville. In this standalone role, you’ll be responsible for crafting and delivering engaging marketing content across our digital platforms, supporting internal communication, and promoting the MAMS Group brand across multiple regional locations.

You’ll work closely with site teams across North Queensland to tell authentic stories, showcase our services, and help strengthen both community engagement and employee connection.

Key Responsibilities

Create and manage social media content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our company website

Coordinate digital campaigns and promotions that align with business goals

Capture and produce engaging photo, video, and written content at sites and events

Track, analyse, and report on engagement and campaign performance

Collaborate with staff across sites to support recruitment, internal news, and project communications

Ensure brand consistency across all content and platforms

Maintain content calendars, image libraries, and campaign records

Conduct monthly site visits to Ingham, Tully, and Innisfail to gather content and connect with teams

About You

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, creative, and confident managing all aspects of digital marketing. You’ll be comfortable behind a camera, writing engaging content, and rolling up your sleeves to visit sites and meet with our local teams.

You will have:

Proven experience in a similar marketing, communications, or social media role

Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail and tone

Confidence using tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, and scheduling platforms

Ability to create basic visual and video content

High-level communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to travel monthly to regional sites (vehicle provided or reimbursed)

A current driver’s licence

A passion for local storytelling and engaging diverse audiences

Bonus if you have:

Knowledge or interest in the Waste, Recycling, or Transport industry

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or Public Relations
