Ei Media is a small, independent & family-owned Outdoor Digital Advertising Company. We use the world’s best practice hardware and software to develop large-format Billboards across Sydney and now Regional NSW with our asset-owner partners. EIM is a proud member of the Outdoor Media Association (OMA) who works with Out-of-Home businesses, clients and agencies to grow the sector. The Ei Media Development team identifies suitable locations within permitted zones, then negotiate long-term agreements with these asset owners.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to support our in-house town planning team. This role will provide an opportunity for the right candidate to directly report to the General Manager and Managing Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

· A clear understanding of the entire Development Application process from site acquisition through to construction

· Ability to research and provide clear guidance on permissibility and zoning

· Preparing Statement of Environmental Effects and all other Statutory Planning Reports/Letters

· Lodgement and monitoring of Development Applications through the NSW Planning Portal

· Liaising with Council Officers and other consultants on a regular basis

· Responding to any Request for Further Information (RFI) from Local Councils

· Preparing and compiling all the documents required for obtained Post-Consent Certificates such as the Construction Certificate and the Occupation Certificate

· Assistance with Land & Environment Court appeals if required

· Routinely communicating updates with the General Manager and the Managing Director

Skills and experience

· Formal Town Planning qualifications

· Ideally have 5 to 10 years of Town Planning experience

· Strong communication and organizational skills (essential)

· Town planning experience with Private Developer/Builder, consultancy, local or state government in NSW

· Demonstrated knowledge and skills in statutory planning and the NSW planning system

· Highly motivated to establish a long-term private sector town planning career and continue professional development

· Be able to work across several projects

· Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work autonomously

Salary, between 80K - 100K depending on exp.
