Leeton Shire Council is seeking a qualified and motivated Town Planner to join our Planning, Building & Health team. This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

This position is responsible for:

· The assessment and determination of development applications

· Providing strategic planning advice to Council

· Ensuring compliance with all planning-related reporting requirements

· Administering Council’s Heritage Advisory Services

Essential Qualifications: A Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a closely related discipline with 2-4 relevant experience are required.

Salary and conditions: The position is Grade 12–15 (with a full-time pay range of $79,391.99 to $104,393.80 per annum) in Council’s salary system depending on qualifications and experience plus 12% superannuation. The full-time position is 70 hours per fortnight, with a monthly rostered day off. Part-time flexible arrangements available for the right candidate. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.

Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required to undergo and successfully pass a Drug and Alcohol screening and Pre-employment Functional Assessment.
