With over twenty years in business and now with a global presence, their growth story is primed to continue and the role of the General Manager Sales will be pivotal to that.
Description
This role will oversee the sales side of business and be pivotal to the overall growth plans of the company. The main focus of the role will include;
- Oversee the existing business plan to take them into the next part of their operations as they focus on local and overseas growth. You will be empowered to make strategic changes to the existing plan and vision as you see fit
- Leading a range of operational excellence initiatives such as sales, safety, culture, process and customer engagement with a view to continually improving the current sales function
- Identify and execute revenue generating opportunities within the existing customer base as well as exploring new markets
- Deliver a rolling business plan with a focus on sales, customer service, safety, collaboration and culture with a view to combining business growth and exceptional customer satisfaction
- Lead a team across different locations by empowering each of the individual leaders to deliver their targets aligned to the overall business plan
- Work closely with the wider leadership team to ensure your contribution is linked to the overall strategic direction of the organisation
While based in Perth, the role will require significant travel, predominantly in WA however it will also require domestic travel in Australia and to parts of Asia.
Profile
The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced or aspiring General Manager Sales who has led an organisation to sales growth across multiple regions. You will have a strong commercial profile with a focus on delivering transformational change. You will ideally have exposure to the mining, manufacturing and industrial sectors.
You will have extensive experience and networks in the mining sector with knowledge of industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, robotics, crushers and machinery.
