The Role
Undertakes research and analysis to provide advice on issues related to the financial and accounting impactions across the local government sector.
Develops policy for consideration related to the implementation of financial management practices and application of accounting principles.
Contributes to the efficient delivery of all related activities leading to the implementation of financial and accounting policy.
Participates as a member of the Directorate’s senior management team and along with other members, maintains a constructive and collegiate discipline within the team.
Assists in the planning and management of the Local Government Financial Policy and Accounting Support’s team’s tasks and resources, including the development and monitoring of operational and team plans.
Coaches and trains employees, including resolution of complex research problems.
May be required to work outside normal working hours.
Qualifications & Licenses
Current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers’ licence) or equivalent
