Full-time Position

$38–$44 per hour + Super

37 hours p/wk | 5 days p/wk

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: 9am-5:30pm

Saturday: 11am - 4pm

(Wednesday and Sunday off)

Primary Responsibilities

Sales/Customer Experience: Connect with customers on the showroom floor by building genuine trust and interest in our products. Offer furniture styling advice and guide them toward confident purchase decisions that suit their space and lifestyle. Your goal is to create an engaging, high-converting showroom experience with every interaction. Maintain a warm, welcoming environment and respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.

Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and support our small showroom team (2-3 staff) through hands-on training, coaching, and regular feedback. Foster a positive, collaborative environment built on open communication and mutual respect. Lead by example, set clear expectations, and uphold high showroom standards. Actively develop the team’s sales skills through role-playing, strategic guidance, and on-the-floor coaching, inspiring them to consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences and strong results.

Merchandising: Style and curate furniture groupings that highlight how pieces work together. Use thoughtful composition to inspire customers and help them envision how our products can elevate their own spaces. Maintain a clean, organised showroom that’s both inviting and easy to navigate.

Operations Support & Leadership Backup: Work closely with the Operations Manager on key responsibilities such as staff hiring and onboarding. In the Operations Manager’s absence, ensure smooth communication between the warehouse and showroom teams, maintaining alignment and operational flow across departments. Act as the secondary point of contact for team rostering and coordination when needed.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HAVE

Experience in furniture or homewares sales

Genuine interest in furniture and interiors, and have a natural eye for furniture styling

Leadership skills with the ability to navigate challenging situations

Warm and friendly disposition, enjoy engaging with others

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

High attention to detail and well-organised

Basic computer skills

Must be able to work Saturdays 11am-4pm

Have unrestricted working rights in Australia and availability for long-term employment
