About the role

Yarra Ranges Council is seeking a Systems, Services & Data Officer to deliver process improvement projects for the Safer Communities team. The position works closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to deliver effective services to both internal and external customers. The position has a key role in technology change projects and will ensure that the day-to-day business operations are running efficiently.

This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing system platforms to support business operations and customer needs. Key tasks include supporting the delivery of annual renewal campaigns, enabling accurate data capture, and implementing automated processes to meet compliance and service delivery requirements. The position also involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify and deliver system improvements.

This is a full-time permanent position with a salary range between $78,146 and $86,825 per annum (band 5), plus superannuation.

Experience and skills we’re looking for

Analytical skills to translate operational needs into automated system processes

Capable of communicating complex processes in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders

Experience in system configuration to optimise business needs and the ability to pick up new systems quickly

Stakeholder engagement, building strong relationships with the broader teams

Delivery of systems training across a wide range of audiences

Organised and detail oriented, ensuring templates and processes are updated and followed as required

Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy and integrity of data collected and used

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio)
