Are you passionate about financial planning and eager to advance your career? Canberra Advice, led by our Principal Advisor, is looking for a Junior or Associate Advisor to join our team.
Role Details:
Junior Advisor: Ideal for candidates currently completing their professional year, with ample learning opportunities.
Associate Advisor: Suitable for those who have completed their professional year and have about a year of experience or more.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Commerce, Business, Economics or similar
Financial Planning industry experience in roles such as paraplanning or client services (preferred but not essential)
Tasks & Responsibilities
Supporting the Principal Adviser in the delivery of quality advice, including responsibility for reviewing advice documents and client documents.
Assist the Prinicpal Adviser to provide strategic financial planning and investment advice including across investment and tax structures, superannuation and retirement planning, personal insurance and estate planning.
Prepare for, and take part in, client meetings with the Principal Adviser.
Act as the initial point of contact for queries from clients and ensure exceptional client service is provided at all times.
Coordinate with the support team within the business (including paraplanning and client services officers), to produce, present and implement holistic advice.
Completion of Records of Advice and other client facing documents.
Coordinate tasks pre and post client meetings.
Support Advisers in meeting their service obligations.
Provide coaching and support to develop capabilities among team members.
Delegate work to team members, setting timelines for completion.
Proactively communicate with clients to determine how the firm can best meet their needs and objectives.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, referral partners and other stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Strong technical skills with an excellent understanding of Superannuation, Retirement Planning, Financial Modelling and Investments.
Experience working with Defined Benefit Schemes, Industry Superfunds and Self Managed Super Funds will be highly regarded but not essential.
Be able to commence or have commenced your Professional Year.
Intermediate to advanced skills in AdviserLogic or other Financial Planning and Practice Management Software as well as Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
