Junior Site Manager / Carpenter – 3rd/4th Year Apprentice or Recently Qualified

Exhibit Design & Construction is a highly regarded residential builder specialising in high-end, architecturally designed homes and knock-down rebuild projects across Canberra and the surrounding region.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and capable 3rd or 4th year carpentry apprentice, or a recently qualified carpenter, to step into a Junior Site Manager & Carpentry role and support the delivery of our bespoke residential projects.

This hands-on position offers exposure across all stages of construction, providing the opportunity to work directly with experienced trades, site managers, and project leaders. It's ideal for someone ready to transition into a site management pathways while still developing their technical skill set and on site capabilities.

We're looking for someone who:

Is currently in their 3rd or 4th year of a carpentry apprenticeship, or has recently completed their qualification

Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in quality workmanship

Brings a professional, reliable, and proactive attitude to the job

Communicates well and can confidently follow and give instructions

Has a strong interest in high-end, custom residential construction

Holds a current White Card and driver's licence (mandatory)

Holds a current Silica Awareness Card (mandatory)

Has their own reliable transport and complete set of carpentry hand tools

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with pre-sheeting, fixing, and fit-off carpentry

Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised site environment

Supporting Site and Project Managers with coordination and daily operations

Assisting with junior-level site management duties

Liaising with subcontractors and trades on-site

Assisting with quality control and defect rectification
