St Ita’s Primary School is a Catholic primary school located in the West Gippsland town of Drouin with a current enrolment of 457 students. The School was officially opened in 1990. As part of St Ita’s Parish, Drouin, the School boasts vibrant, modern classrooms that are well appointed and resourced.

St Ita’s Primary School, Drouin is seeking a faith-filled, inspirational and dynamic Deputy Principal to work in partnership with our staff, student and parent community. The role of the primary deputy principal is to support the principal and leadership team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students at St Ita’s Primary School. The role involves working closely with the Principal in enacting the strategic directions of Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Ltd (DOSCEL) and the deployment of resources, which reflect the following key priorities:

• Enlivening faith education and Catholic Identity.

• Improved learning outcomes for all students.

• Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership formation and capacity building.

• Ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance.

Tenure: Three years fixed-term (underpinned by an ongoing teaching position), with a possible second period of appointment

Classification: Primary Deputy Principal Level 3 (400 – 549 students) in accordance with the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022

Start Date: 27 January 2026

Salary: $144,670 - $148,762
