St Therese’s Primary School is a Catholic primary school located in Cranbourne North with a current enrolment of 240 students. The School was officially opened in 1989 and is one of two primary schools in St Agatha’s Parish.
Over the years, the Cranbourne area has grown from a semi-rural residential town to become part of a major growth corridor, 39 kilometres south-east of Melbourne’s CBD, on the lands of the Bunurong People.
The School, as part of St Agatha’s Parish, Cranbourne, provides access to Catholic education to families situated in the northern area of the Parish and boasts vibrant, modern classrooms that are well appointed and resourced.
St Therese’s Primary School, Cranbourne North is seeking a faith filled, inspirational and dynamic Deputy Principal to work in partnership with our staff, student and parent community. The role of the primary deputy principal is to support the principal and leadership team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students at St Therese’s Primary School. The role involves working closely with the Principal in enacting the strategic directions of Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Ltd (DOSCEL) and the deployment of resources, which reflect the following key priorities:
Enlivening faith education and Catholic identity.
Improved learning outcomes for all students.
Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership, formation and capacity building.
Ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance.
We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant with a proven record of leadership who aspires to principalship. The Deputy Principal position will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis for three years, with opportunity for a second period of appointment. The successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at St Therese’s Primary School as a teacher.

Tenure: Three years fixed term (underpinned by an ongoing teaching position), with a possible second period of appointment
Classification: Primary Deputy Principal Level 2 (200 – 399 students) in accordance with the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022.
Start Date: 27 January 2026
Salary: $140,447 - $143,686
