Bamboo Land Nursery & Parklands is a bamboo, ginger and heliconia specialised nursery situated near Hervey Bay, QLD. Bamboo Land is a small but rapidly growing family business, which requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic staff member to help the business grow and to keep up with increasing plant order volumes, and plant production demand.

The position requires a multi-skilled individual to communicate with customers, process orders, prepare invoices and organise freight.

This role requires an exceptionally organised and self motivated individual with outstanding customer service skills and a commitment to creating a special experience for all of our customers. Applicant must also be computer literate, have a great phone personality and have a hand’s on / can do attitude with highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work un-supervised is crucial & ability to supervise other staff is beneficial.

Nursery trade qualifications are advantageous; however candidates with demonstrated experience in a Nursery environment or general plant knowledge are welcome to apply.

Good physical fitness is required as work roles will include some lifting of potted plants, ornamental pots, statues, waterfeatures, etc.

To the customers, Bamboo Land is a tranquil tropical paradise. Behind the scenes, it's a busy fast paced business. Only those who are highly motivated with a keen interest in plants need apply.

Hours of employment are usually 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The position is preferred to be full time, but part time / casual positions will also be considered. Hourly rates for full time adult positions are between $27 and $31, relative to your experience. Work hours are generally between 8am and 5pm, with some options for flex-time. Position available for immediate start.
