Join our dedicated team at Forest Blooms, a wholesale nursery specialising in cottage garden plants for retail and landscape customers across the region. We’re currently seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Hand to support daily operations with a strong focus on machine operation and team supervision. More than one position available, depending on quality of candidates.

About the Role

As a Nursery Hand, you’ll play a vital role in the production, care, and dispatch of our plants. Your day-to-day tasks will include potting, weeding, irrigation, order picking, and general nursery maintenance. Candidates with experience operating machinery (such as potting machines, tractors, forklifts) and proven leadership skills will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Operate nursery machinery and equipment safely and efficiently

Oversee and guide small teams during daily production and dispatch activities

Assist with stock movement, inventory checks, and quality control

Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the nursery

Collaborate with supervisors to meet production deadlines

About You

Experience working in a production or wholesale nursery preferred

Competence in operating machinery such as potting machines, tractors, and forklifts (licence an advantage)

Supervisory or team-leading experience highly desirable

Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and good communication skills
