This full-time role is based in our Coburg office, where you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient management of road projects across Melbourne.
About the Role:
As a Traffic Management Planner, you will be responsible for designing and implementing detailed traffic management plans (TMPs) and traffic guidance schemes (TGS) that meet regulatory standards and project requirements. Your hands-on experience in traffic control will be essential as you coordinate resources, communicate with clients, and ensure that on-site operations run seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and review Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and traffic guidance schemes (TGS) in accordance with VicRoads, local council, and other regulatory requirements.
- Leverage your practical experience in traffic control to create safe and effective traffic management solutions.
- Coordinate and schedule traffic control resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project timelines.
- Prepare and submit Memorandums of Authorisation (MOAs) and council permit applications
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure TGS and TMPs align with project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in managing road closures, lane closures, and detours as required for projects.
- Provide ongoing support to on-site teams and help resolve any traffic management-related issues.
- Monitor project progress to ensure accurate execution of traffic management plans.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in traffic control and or planning
- Current qualifications TRAFFIC CONTROLLER - TC1 - RIISS00058 TC2 - RIISS00059 / TRAFFIC IMPLEMENTER - TMI1 - RIISS00060 TMI2 - RIISS00061 TMI3 - RIISS00062 / TRAFFIC DESIGNER - TMD1 - RIISS00063, TMD2 - RIISS00064, TMD3 - RIISS00065
- Familiarity with Victorian traffic management regulations and standards.
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in traffic management software rapid plan.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
