C3Talent is partnering with a well-established, product-based business located in North Brisbane. We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to support the team during a short-term leave period, starting this week. This is an onsite role and will suit someone confident using Xero and comfortable working independently with minimal handover.

You'll be jumping in to keep things moving smoothly while the current team member is away. There may be some quiet patches during the day, and additional projects (like audit support and invoice entry) will be available to keep you engaged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter supplier invoices into Xero and prepare bank uploads for approval
• Monitor shared accounts inbox and phone lines, actioning or escalating as needed
• Post inventory-linked draft entries into Xero
• Process supplier account applications and maintain records
• Reconcile bank transactions and count till cash, ensuring excess is secured
• Enter Shopify transactions and associated fees (training provided)
• Month-end tasks, including sending Xero supplier statements
• Place overdue customer accounts on hold post-month-end
• Assist with goods receipting in the inventory system (guidance provided)
• Support ongoing projects, including audit prep and attaching historical invoices in Xero

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience using Xero in a small-to-medium business environment
• Available to start this week and commit to at least 2 weeks
• Strong attention to detail and a “jump in and figure it out” attitude
• Willing to work onsite full-time in North Brisbane (desktop setup provided)
• Comfortable with paper-based tasks and physical files
• Prior experience in accounts payable/receivable, bank recs, and general bookkeeping
• Friendly and approachable, with clear communication skills
