About the role

Perry Quality Meats' is seeking passionate and experienced Butchers and Counter Hands to join our friendly team in Harrisdale, Western Australia. This is a full-time position with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and high-quality meat products to our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

Expertly cut, prepare and package a variety of fresh meat and value added products according to customer orders and preferences

Provide attentive and knowledgeable customer service, offering advice and recommendations to assist customers

Ensure the butchery counter and work area are well-stocked, clean and organized at all times

Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of fresh meat and other supplies

Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all work processes

Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a qualified Butcher or Counter Hand, ideally in a meat retail or customer-facing environment

Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Butcher or 1 year experience as a Counter Hand

Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for providing high-quality products

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure

Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the physical demands of the role

A positive, friendly and helpful attitude, with the ability to work well as part of a team

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations in a butchery setting

Trade qualification (Certificate III in Meat Processing - Retail Butcher) or equivalent experience

Must have the right to work in Australia

Must be available to work weekends
