Administration Assistant – Be the Heart of Neurodiverse Playhouse

Are you a passionate, organised, and warm individual who thrives in a purpose-driven environment?

Do you want to be part of a neuroaffirming team making a real difference in the lives of children and families?

Neurodiverse Playhouse is seeking an exceptional Administration Assistant to join our vibrant team and be the welcoming face of our organisation.

About Us
Neurodiverse Playhouse is a values-driven, family-centred service supporting neurodivergent children and their families through compassionate, allied health practices. We believe in celebrating neurodiversity and creating safe, affirming spaces where every child is supported to thrive.

The Role
As our Administration Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for families and professionals. You'll play a critical role in creating a warm, inclusive experience while keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

You’ll work closely with our team of allied health professionals and assist the Company Director with a range of tasks, including day-to-day operations, scheduling, NDIS billing, social media support, and client communications.

Key Responsibilities

Be the welcoming face of the Neurodiverse Playhouse – greeting clients with warmth and professionalism

Manage phone and email enquiries, appointments, and communications

Support NDIS-related administrative tasks including invoicing, billing, and claims

Maintain and manage NDIS service agreements with accuracy and attention to detail

Maintain client records, consent forms, and documentation in line with privacy standards

Assist the Company Director with administrative and operational tasks

Support basic social media activity (e.g., scheduling posts, assisting with content ideas)

Liaise with families and support coordinators in a compassionate and neuroaffirming manner

Assist the clinical team with day-to-day administrative needs

Help create an organised, inclusive, and responsive work environment

Be flexible to work across our playhouse sites

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

Friendly, empathetic, and people-focused – you’ll be the first impression our families receive

Experienced with NDIS processes – including plans, service agreements, and billing requirements

Familiar with allied health or similar environments

Neuroaffirming in your approach – you value neurodiversity and support our inclusive culture

Self-motivated and efficient – you take initiative and get things done

Organised and detail-oriented – you love a well-kept calendar and accurate records

Confident using tech tools and admin software; comfortable with social media platforms is a bonus

Flexible and able to juggle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced but supportive environment

What We Offer

A supportive, values-driven workplace where you’re encouraged to be yourself

Ongoing training in neuroaffirming practices

Opportunities for personal and professional development

Flexibility in hours and a role that genuinely makes a difference

A fun, inclusive and creative team who love what they do

Ready to Apply?
If you’re excited by the idea of supporting neurodivergent children and their families while being part of a warm, inclusive team — we’d love to hear from you.

Please apply with your resume and a cover letter outlining why you're the right fit for this role.

Neurodivergent applicants are encouraged to apply. We are committed to creating a workplace that embraces and celebrates diversity in all forms.
