Lounge Room, a vibrant and contemporary venue located in the heart of Kingston, is seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef to join our culinary team. If you take pride in crafting authentic Italian-style pizzas using traditional methods and fresh ingredients, we’d love to hear from you.

📍 Location: Kingston, ACT
🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time (Permanent)
💰 Salary: Competitive annual salary based on experience (in accordance with Australian award rates and Fair Work standards)
🗓️ Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday (Lunch & Dinner shifts with breaks provided)

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook traditional Italian pizzas using house-made dough and sauces

Operate pizza oven

Maintain high kitchen hygiene and food safety standards

Assist in stock control and kitchen organization

Work collaboratively within the kitchen team to ensure timely service

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a pizza chef or in a similar role

Solid knowledge of traditional Italian pizza preparation techniques

Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude

Must be available to work Wednesday through Sunday (lunch & dinner shifts)

Legal working rights in Australia (citizen, PR, or valid work visa)

Fluent in English (basic level for communication in the kitchen)

Desirable (not essential):

Experience in high-volume kitchen environments

Familiarity with dough fermentation and Italian flour types

Creativity in developing new pizza specials or seasonal menu items
