The Opportunity
Skyring’s Restaurant & Bar is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Chef to join our kitchen team in Rockhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your culinary skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment at one of the region’s most popular dining destinations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs.

Ensure dishes are prepared to a high standard of quality and presentation.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, following food safety and hygiene standards.

Help with stock rotation, storing deliveries, and basic inventory checks.

Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and contribute to a positive team environment.

Be eager to learn and take on new tasks as your skills develop.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen (preferred but not essential).

A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the hospitality industry.

A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Good communication and time management skills.

Understanding of basic food safety practices.

Availability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
