Utility Solutions Group Pty Ltd is a Melbourne based Utilities Service Provider, who offer turnkey solutions across a vast variety of projects. We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated individuals to fill roles with in our HSEQ and Compliance department
About the role: HSEQ Manager
The primary objective of this role is to coordinate and implement policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with OHS Acts, relevant laws and client requirements. Ideally the successful candidate will have a through understanding of training and compliance in a VESI environment This role will ensure the relevant support is offered to the construction teams to achieve company objectives and ensure exposure to risks is identified and mitigated.
About You:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High level of communication
- Minimum of 3 years as a HSEQ Compliance Officer / Adviser in the Civil Construction and utilities service sector
- Minimum of Cert IV in Work Health & Safety with Diploma of Work Health and Safety highly desirable
- Comprehension of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- ISO Audit Experience is highly desirable
- Construction Safety White Card CPCCOHS1001A
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid & CPR
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring & assisting with ongoing improvement of the Integrated Management System (ISO)
- Completing weekly and monthly internal and external reporting
- VESI/VEDN skills training Matrix
- Provide practical, accurate and current advice and assistance to management and employees in the application of WHS practices and procedures
- Management of all incidents, injuries and near misses, including conducting investigations, coordinating and attending medical appointments and return to work activities
- Coordination of document reviews, reporting, toolbox talks and campaign rollouts
- Liaising with clients where required
- Regular site visits to our client operations or other branches
- Developing safety themes and presentations on relevant topics
- Assisting with Estimators tender submissions
- Safety Compliance- e.g. Training, VOC's, Record Keeping, Inductions, On-boarding, Audits.
- Environmental Compliance - e.g. Reporting, Spill Kits, Response Training.
- Health Management - e.g. Campaigns, Return to Work, Dangerous Substances.
- Incident Investigations - e.g. Personnel, Vehicles, Quality.
- Tendering - e.g. Preparing QHSE responses.
- Upskilling - Arranging or delivering new skills to the business to meet business needs.
- ISO Standards - Maintaining and improving on our certified Integrated Management System (IMS).
