About the Client:

Our client is a growing global fund manager seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join their Melbourne-based team.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Operations, Compliance & Risk, you will play a key role in supporting the business in meeting its compliance obligations and maintaining a strong compliance culture. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with investment professionals and contribute to the firm’s operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day compliance support across portfolio managers, analysts, communications, and operational staff;
• Monitor and maintain compliance with ASIC regulatory requirements and internal policies;
• Review and approve marketing materials, fund documents, RFPs, due diligence questionnaires, and investor communications;
• Manage compliance breaches, incidents, and complaints, including investigation and resolution;
• Monitor post-trade portfolio compliance and investigate alerts;
• Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory changes;
• Deliver compliance training in collaboration with People & Culture;
• Assist with quarterly risk reporting and support risk identification and mitigation; AND
• Support and coach the Compliance Officer and contribute to a culture aligned with company values.

Technical Skills & Qualifications required include:

• Proven experience in compliance, risk, or product governance, ideally within funds management;
• Strong understanding of compliance and risk structures in a funds management environment;
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach;
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently; AND
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with portfolio management or GRC systems is a plus.
