ZME is now hiring multiple positions Telecommunications Field Engineer- NBN Works to join our expanding team of nbn specialists.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Telecommunications Field Engineer to lead a work-stream of delivery for the customer NBN Connections across Sydney, Regional NSW and QLD.

Key responsibilities will include:

Work with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to meet project goals.

Assess scope of work and support installation and maintenance of wired line and wireless telecommunication networks ( FTTx, 4G LTE, and 5G networks).

Support provisioning and device activation.

Co-ordinate with teams for integration of hardware, database and communication systems.

Provide clear technical updates and maintain operational documentation.

Coordinate with teams for variations and change requests to align with client requirements.

Liaise with field teams to ensure adherence to the standards.

Facilitate technical workshops, and provide expert advice and solutions on technical problems in network design, optimisation, fault diagnosis and trouble shooting.

Assist with technical documentation, interpret drawings and schematics, review network architecture diagrams, planning briefs, network design documents and as-built.

Collaborate with teams to update BOQ/BOM based on field variations, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and cost control.

Support documentation for monthly project reports.

Clearly understand all contractual obligations and entitlements, including KPI's and delivering to the customer's needs

Required Skills and Experience:

Telecommunication network construction and commissioning experience includes; Optical fibre cable installation, splicing, and testing (including data cabling) & Equipment installation

Good understanding of Pit and pipe installation and utility-type builds

Previous experience in Telecommunication Field Network design and build

Preferred previous experience of nbn program of works

Good Understanding of Wired line and Wireless Technologies.

Should be able to understand the Copper/Fiber and FTTN, FTTB, FTTP, HFC and Wireless networks standards.

Experience working on large telecommunication infrastructure projects.

Strong focus and demonstrated knowledge of asset owners and compliance requirements to work.

Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with teams and customers.

Demonstrated experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Process oriented and outcome focused

Strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills
