The purpose of this role is to assist with the establishment of a safety-conscious work culture through the planning, direction and implementation of the organisation's safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage all facets of safety, including but not limited to.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Workplace Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Assist with the development of Safe Operating Procedures for workplace equipment and conduct Task Risk Assessments for all work-related activities.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of programs to train managers, supervisors and employees
• Assists with the documentation of inspections of the organisation's facilities

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Strong safety experience in a manufacturing, supply chain or other heavy industry environment.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, create or update documentation to professional standards.
• Sound ability to understand legislative requirements, recommend and apply practical and effective solutions on-site.
• Ability to prioritise and work on a variety of projects with a results orientation and good problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence people at all levels of the organisation.

What you'll get in return
