As an Engineering Surveyor in the Integrated Transport Planning and Design Department, you play a key role in shaping the future of Council infrastructure.

You will have the opportunity to carry out a wide range of detailed surveys—from engineering and topographic to hydrographic and asset data collection—making sure everything is accurate and aligned with Council standards.

You're the go-to expert in the team, offering guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality data capture. With your skills in specialised surveying instruments and CAD software, you help deliver reliable and timely survey information.

You also contribute to improving technical standards, collaborate closely with other departments and external partners, and help foster a positive, high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement and great service.

About you

We are seeking some who is experienced in a wide range of complex survey types and tools, with strong technical, mathematical, and legislative knowledge to deliver accurate and timely data. You will be skilled in team leadership, time management, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

You will have Associate Degree or Degree in Spatial Science Technology (Surveying) or equivalent or demonstrated relevant experience. You will have a General Induction Licence (White Card) and Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
