We are seeking a proactive Senior Project Officer, Infrastructure and Sustainability to shape inclusive, sustainable infrastructure across NSW through impactful initiatives so everyone can play!
- Drive the plans that power inclusive, future-ready sport infrastructure for an active NSW.
- Ongoing full-time opportunity based at Sydney Olympic Park location – flexible work arrangements will be considered.
- Salary ranges from $ 129,464 to $ 142,665 + super & leave loading.
About the role
The Senior Project Officer Infrastructure and Sustainability develops smart, inclusive and sustainable policies and programs that help shape the future of sport and active recreation infrastructure across NSW and support resilient and accessible facilities.
Working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, this role will tackle complex infrastructure challenges—like adapting to climate change while meeting varied community needs, offer expert advice and shape forward-thinking strategies, ensuring decisions align with long-term environmental and policy goals.

About you
Our ideal candidate will bring to the role:
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and evaluate strategic plans, policies, and programs, while offering both strategic and operational advice to senior management.
- Proven capability in climate change adaptation and resilience planning for infrastructure, with the ability to guide sustainable development and asset management initiatives.
- Experience in preparing detailed proposals, business cases, project plans, reports and correspondence to support agency priorities and respond to government and sector requests.
- Proficient in developing, coordinating, and evaluating complex policy and program initiatives with multiple interdependencies, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines and resource constraints.
- Strong capability to engage stakeholders through tailored communication and strategic negotiation, supporting informed and effective decision-making.
- Skills in applying innovative and analytical thinking to solve complex challenges, anticipate risks and develop practical, data-driven solutions that promote sustainable infrastructure development.
Essential Requirements:
Experience in climate change adaption and resilience of existing and future facilities and infrastructure.
