About the role: (Position Purpose and Accountabilities)
We are looking for a Remote-Photoplethysmography Lighting Researcher to join the Bodd Hardware & Software Engineering Team for a 6 month contract. This role sits within the research/development environment, and applicants must have that right combination of research and technical expertise, to help us evolve our new technologies and new ways of performing innovative human metric measurements.
We are looking for someone with a solid research and experimentation background in a wellness, health or science environment, and also has that drive to discover new ways of achieving difficult goals. You would be working with cameras and sensors as well as other support systems in a stereo vision, computer vision environment.
What you will be doing: (Specific Tasks)
- Design and implement test regimes to discover the lighting factors that influence Remote-Photoplethysmography within the Bodd 3D Body Scanner.
- Design and implement test regimes to discover camera parameters (exposure and focus) that influence Remote-Photoplethysmography within the Bodd 3D Body Scanner.
- Define configuration structures which can be applied, through automation, to adjust the Bodd 3D Body Scanner systems to produce reliable Remote-Photoplethysmography results.
Professional Key Skills: (Position Requirements)
- Understand the background and theory of Remote-Photoplethysmography.
- Understanding of the limitations of Remote-Photoplethysmography.
- Software experience (Java preferred).
- Experience with lighting control systems.
- Understanding of image processing with regard to exposure and focus.
