Tassie Fine Foods is a family-owned business that has specialised in processing fresh meat and poultry for almost 20 years. Due to continued and sustained growth in our business, we are seeking to grow our team with a new Sales Representative seeking a long-term career.

Role Overview

While the position will be based at our Pakenham facility, the majority of time will be spent out on the road building and maintaining a strong customer base.

Reporting to our Operations Managers, you will be working closely with our established team and have primary responsibility of managing and reporting on an existing client portfolio. This will include client site visits, maintaining and developing existing relationships as well as bringing on new business to grow the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management: Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with clients

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work in conjunction with other departments including dispatch, accounts and production

Drive New Business: Identify and secure new sales opportunities across foodservice, distribution, retail and manufacturing networks

Customer Satisfaction: Manage client expectations and field initial queries on customer feedback

Pricing Management: Strategic management of pricing profiles, quoting, sending out weekly specials while maintaining margin targets

Promotional Activity: Plan & execute promotional campaigns, marketing email and trade events

Skills & Experience

Experience: Previous experience in sales or business development role within retail, hospitality or food service industries

Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with an ability to build relationships to achieve business outcomes

Results-Oriented: Commercially minded, goal-focused, thrive when working toward a goal

Organised: Able to manage your pipeline and time effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to work independently

Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft suite and order management software. Ability to pick up new programs with ease.
