About the role

Are you an experienced Accounts Officer or Operations Support professional looking to join a well-established and growing transport and logistics company? East Coast Freight Distribution is seeking a full-time Accounts / Operations Support Coordinator to join our team in Kunda Park, Queensland. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of our accounting and operations functions.

What you'll be doing

Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations

Providing support to the operations team, including freight sorting, scanning, and problem solving

Managing key customer accounts — ensuring invoices and contractor RCTIs are accurate, on time, and tick all the right boxes

Handling customer and contractor enquiries with a helpful, professional approach

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of efficient systems and procedures

Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who’s practical, organised, and confident in a busy, small business environment.

Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Operations Support, or similar role in a fast-paced business environment

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Proficiency in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other relevant computer applications

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

A positive, proactive, and solutions-focused attitude
