About the Role
We are seeking experienced Life Claims Assessors with a passion for delivering empathetic and outcome-focused service. You will manage a portfolio of Income Protection (IP) and Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD) claims, making decisions within your authority limits and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Life claims from lodgement to resolution (IP & TPD)
Apply sound judgment and claims philosophy to each case
Communicate effectively with customers, medical professionals, and reinsurers
Interpret complex medical, legal, and financial information
Follow Life Insurance Code of Practice and internal SLAs
Contribute to a collaborative, customer-first claims team
About You
Essential: Life Insurance claims experience (income protection and/or TPD)
Preferred: Background in personal injury, workers compensation, or allied health
Working knowledge of Life Insurance frameworks and relevant legislation
Empathetic and solutions-focused approach
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health, Law, or similar are a plus
