Military Claims is expanding in response to increasing demand from Australian veterans. We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate DVA Advocates to support veterans through the DVA claims process. This is a vital role in ensuring that veterans receive the care, respect, and advocacy they deserve.
As a DVA Advocate, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding veterans through complex claims with professionalism, empathy, and commitment. You will collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that each claim is processed with the utmost attention to detail and care.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience -
Previous experience in at Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is highly regarded.

About the Role -
We are seeking highly dedicated and self-disciplined DVA Advocates to provide exceptional support to Australian Defence Force (ADF) veterans.
You will play a vital role in assisting veterans with their government claims and advocating on their behalf within the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) system. This position offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of veterans and their families by ensuring they receive the full support and benefits they are entitled to.
This role will start with three (3) full days per week at our Shellharbour office and will expand to full-time shortly thereafter, with the additional days worked remotely for added flexibility.
Key Responsibilities -
Submit and upload documents in accordance with DVA guidelines.
Collaborate with fellow team members to coordinate resources and assistance for veterans and their families.
Assist veterans in preparing and submitting claims for compensation, pensions, healthcare, rehabilitation, and other support services.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure effective advocacy.
Respond to emails and answer phone inquiries promptly and professionally.
Liaise with the DVA on behalf of veterans, ensuring their claims are handled effectively.
Stay informed on relevant legislation, policies, and procedures concerning veterans’ entitlements and benefits.
What we are looking for -
We are seeking candidates with a strong work ethic and relevant experience in a similar role. Ideal candidates will possess:
Preference for ex-DVA Delegates.
An understanding of VEA, MRCA & DRCA Legislation.
Full Australian working rights or permanent residency.
Proficiency in basic Microsoft and Google applications.
Familiarity with DVA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
A personable, empathetic, and dedicated nature.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
