At Treehouse we are creating “innovative families”, a living arrangement between trained professionals and children/young people who have experienced trauma neglect or abuse. We work together, with children and young people, encouraging them to begin the process of moving through their trauma. Allowing them a safe space to build rapport, form attachments and feel confident to transition out of survival mode.
We nurture and encourage them to develop their identity and sense of self, fostering their physical, emotional, social and psychological wellbeing to better themselves and their future lives.
The role:
Treehouse is seeking an experienced and compassionate Area Manager to lead our Out of Home Care services. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll oversee multiple residential houses and support up to seven House Supervisors to ensure high quality care for young people in our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee case management compliance, reporting, and incident reviews in line with Treehouse policies.
- Lead, support, and supervise House Supervisors, including onboarding, performance reviews, and team development.
- Attend stakeholder and case management meetings; support investigations relating to child protection as needed.
- Manage rosters, emergency shift coverage, and liaise with external staffing providers where required.
- Monitor budgets, ensure WHS and NSW Child Safe Standards are met, and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Participate in the on-call support roster to assist residential teams across the region.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in residential care, with at least 3 in a management role
- Relevant diploma or degree in Social Sciences or similar (or currently working towards one)
- NSW Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and consent for Residential Care Workers Register
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 1 month)
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
