About the role

This is a full-time role based in Helensburgh, NSW 2508. As the Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Northern Illawarra Neighbour Aid, a non-for-profit community organisation dedicated to supporting aged and transport disadvantaged people living in the Northern Illawarra. In this vital position, you will play a key role in driving the organisation's mission and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the community.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing strategic plans to support the organisation's growth and impact

Managing and leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver community programs and services

Overseeing the organisation's financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and fundraising

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local government, community partners, and funding bodies

Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies

Identifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand the organisation's reach and services

Representing the organisation at community events and meetings

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience in a management or leadership role within the community services or not-for-profit sector

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans

Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Proven experience in leading and motivating a team

Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulations

Passion for making a positive impact in the local community
