This is a hands-on supervisory position leading a small team of experienced trades in a busy maintenance workshop. The right candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, be proactive in preventing downtime, and support continuous improvement efforts. What you need:

• Trade qualified Fitter (Boilermaker experience a bonus)
• Forklift Licence and current Driver’s Licence
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge
• Computer literacy – experience with maintenance software (AMPRO preferred)
• Physically fit (lifting 20kg+)
• Willingness to be hands-on and proactive
• Strong OH&S knowledge and safety-first mindset

What you will be doing:

• Leading and supervising the maintenance workshop and team
• Assigning and managing daily tasks and team productivity
• Planning and prioritising maintenance based on production needs
• Preventative maintenance of complex cable manufacturing machinery (extruders, stranders, drawing machines, etc.)
• Machinery installations and general facility repairs
• Ordering spare parts and managing maintenance consumables
• Liaising with contractors when needed
• Updating the maintenance system (AMPRO) and reporting outcomes
• Supporting continuous improvement and minimising downtime
• Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager regularly
