We seek a motivated, enthusiastic and skilled individual to join our friendly dental team. Our family-run practice is in Caringbah in purpose-built facilities set in a lovely native garden.

Responsible for the smooth day-to-day function and productivity of the practice, the position requires excellent people skills and technical competencies. The successful candidate will continually help grow the practice through their daily and 'bigger picture' contributions. Previous dental nursing/reception experience and being active within our local community will be a distinct advantage.

The role will involve:

Being a friendly, helpful and efficient point of contact for patients (managing enquiries, triaging patient needs, making appointments, welcoming patients, managing the inevitable daily changes seamlessly while keeping patients and clinical team happy, effective follow-up etc.).

Managing patient flow into the practice (e.g. appointment confirmations, recalls, ad-hoc marketing initiatives), and through the practice (e.g. patient welcome, oversight, farewell).

Working closely with other members of the dental team to ensure the smooth running of the practice including:

liaising with the principal and practice manager;

reviewing and monitoring staff rosters;

coordinating with the senior DA to monitor and order stock and liaising with representatives of dental supply companies to minimise costs

assisting clinical staff when needed

Creating and monitoring Practice Protocols and Procedure documents.

Proactively contributing to maintaining and increasing patient numbers.

Taking on added projects with enthusiasm and innovative thinking.

Working hours: 38 hours over four days per week. Actual hours and days worked will be discussed at interview and determined to most effectively meet the needs of the practice. Flexibility is required; usual hours are 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, although the successful candidate will need to be available 7.30 am to 7.30 pm on weekdays and occasionally Saturday morning (rarely required).

We are open to considering a ‘job sharing’ arrangement for the right candidate if this is practicable.

Salary: $60,000+ p.a. Will be commensurate with experience and contribution to practice productivity and profitability.

Starting date: As soon as possible.

have previous dental receptionist and/or dental nurse experience.
