About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated nursing professional to play a key role in supporting high-quality nursing management within the Surgery program. In this role, you’ll apply your clinical expertise to provide critical support services to the Nurse Lead, Nurse Unit Managers and Nurse Consultants. You’ll contribute across a wide range of operational areas including staffing methodologies, workforce planning, recruitment, professional development, financial administration, patient flow, accreditation, and risk management. Your contribution will help drive effective, efficient and sustainable service delivery, while maintaining a strong focus on staff wellbeing and a positive workplace culture.

As part of this role, you will take accountability for the delivery of nursing management practices within your portfolio and help ensure alignment with policy and best practice. Your ability to work collaboratively across teams, analyse staffing trends, support rostering, succession planning and professional development will be central to your success. You may also be involved in leading or coordinating projects that contribute to improved patient outcomes, and in some cases, take on operational oversight responsibilities. About You

You are a confident and collaborative nursing professional with a passion for leadership, innovation and quality improvement in healthcare. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring a forward-thinking approach to driving change, supporting staff development and delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

Current registration (or eligibility) as a Nurse with at least 3 years' experience, including leadership in nursing/midwifery practice.

Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage change, engage consumers and guide staff growth.

Proven ability to manage projects, prioritise competing demands and foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.

Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, quality systems and contemporary healthcare issues.
