  • Salary: RN/RM2 $103,353 - $110,497 p.a
  • Temporary part time working 48 hours per fortnight over a 5 day roster up to 30 December 2025

About the role

Join a dedicated and forward-thinking team delivering cardiac rehabilitation services to rural and remote South Australians through the Country Access to Cardiac Health (CATCH) program. Based within the Rural Support Service and part of the Integrated Cardiovascular Clinical Network (iCCnet), this rewarding Associate Nurse Unit Manager role allows you to make a meaningful impact by supporting patients in managing their heart health - often from the comfort of their own homes via telehealth. You’ll play a key leadership role alongside the Nurse Consultant, contributing to the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of this innovative, statewide service. If you’re passionate about cardiovascular care, digital health innovation, and improving outcomes in rural communities, this is your chance to lead with purpose and compassion.

How will you contribute

  • Lead and support the coordination of cardiac rehabilitation services, ensuring consistency, quality, and culturally safe care.
  • Assist in operational management, including rostering, recruitment, performance support, and supply oversight.
  • Contribute to the triaging of referrals and monitoring of the waitlist to ensure timely access for patients across rural SA.
  • Support the implementation of evidence-based changes and participate in the evaluation and reporting of service outcomes.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced staff, while fostering a collaborative, patient-focused team culture.

Who are we looking for?

  • Are you a skilled communicator who thrives in multidisciplinary teams and brings a flexible, solution-focused mindset?
  • Do you have experience in cardiac or community nursing and a passion for improving rural health outcomes?
  • Are you confident prioritising workloads, managing change, and working independently across diverse settings?
  • Do you value culturally responsive care and want to support better outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities?
