Who we are:
Play Workshop is a commercial designer, supplier and builder of playground equipment and play spaces throughout NSW and beyond. We are looking to expand on our current ranges of equipment with a focus on local government and school markets, so require a strongly self-driven person with a passion for meeting people, creating and developing networks, providing solutions, and chasing sales to join our team and drive our business growth.
The Role:
The role is based in our Silverwater office. However, it is expected that you will spend a significant portion of time meeting clients/prospects at their places of work or on site to undertake duties as required of the role. This will require regular road travel across Sydney and Greater NSW.
Main Responsibilities:
The roles 3 main overarching responsibilities are:
Building Relationships - Building great relationships with prospective clients across local government and school markets in particular, independently seeking out opportunities and new contacts
Providing Solutions - Helping our clients to achieve their goals with amazing play equipment or playground solutions with our design team right by your side
Making Sales – because you’re so damn good at the above two points and know how to manage the sales process from initial contact through to getting and processing the orders.
This will be achieved through:
Hard Work – You need to be self-driven to achieving success. This means doing the miles, being present, arranging meetings, talking and face to face communication the old-fashioned way. This role is not a desk job.
Collaborating – You will need to be able to work closely with our internal Sales and Design team who will help you develop the required solutions and maximise your sales opportunities.
Learning – You will absorb technical information quickly and be able to move towards becoming an expert in this industry. We want intelligent, creative staff who can adapt to their clients, learn and grow professionally
Skills and Experience
Minimum of 5 years in Sales and Business Development
Proven ability to form and maintain strong business relationships.
Self-motivated to learn fast – the business including products and services
Strong attention to detail and well organised
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal for a wide variety of customer types, including childcare providers, schools, local government, landscape architects and designers, and property developers.
Excellent problem solver with ability to draw on in-house expertise to develop ideas or solutions for clients
Team player, being able to work in groups and autonomously as required
Some basic technical knowledge of landscaping or design will be advantageous but is not essential
Valid full Australian driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
