About the opportunity
The Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System called for bold reform - not just incremental change. The Greater Geelong and Borough of Queenscliff (GGQ) Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is a direct response to that call, aiming to transform how care is delivered in a region historically marked by fragmentation and access barriers.
As Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in bringing this vision to life. Working across a unique partnership between Barwon Health, Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative Ltd, Wellways Australia and ERMHA365, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, culturally safe, and trauma-informed care. Your leadership will guide day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and participant engagement, ensuring services are connected, inclusive, and grounded in hope.
Please note: Individuals who join our team will need to be available to work across a rotating roster. This includes a variety of shifts such as:
- Weekdays: 9:00am - 5:06pm
- Afternoon shifts: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- Some weekends and public holidays: 11:00am - 7:00pm
Flexibility and reliability are essential to ensure continuity of care and support for our community.
Above all, this is your opportunity to support a team to do their best work while fostering a workplace culture built on integrity, empathy and collaboration - all in service of delivering excellent care and outcomes for the people we support in the community.

About Wellways
Wellways Australia Limited is a leading not-for-profit mental health and disability support organisation with services in Queensland, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Tasmania. Our services span mental health, disability and community care, and reach thousands of people each year.
We work with a diverse range of people living with mental health issues or various disabilities, and their families, friends and carers, to bring about positive change and build good lives in their communities. This can include creating a home, securing a job and building meaningful relationships.
Our mental health, disability and rehabilitation services bring together evidence from research with an understanding of people’s lived experience—what works for them. Our mental health workforce includes clinicians, nurses, community support workers and ‘peers’—those who have a lived experience of mental illness and recovery. Together, they create an environment that focuses on hope rather than illness.
We work in partnership with people and their families to identify their own needs and goals and support them to attain a great life in the community. Our partnerships extend to clinicians, GPs, hospitals, community health organisations and government, ensuring that our services and programs reach people in the communities in which they live.
