Junior Solicitor – General Practice (Wills, Estates, Property & Business Law)

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 + Super (Commensurate with Experience)

Swanwick Murray Roche is a respected, long-standing law firm based in the heart of Rockhampton. With deep roots in Central Queensland and a proud history of delivering practical, high-quality legal services, we’re looking to expand our team with a motivated and capable junior solicitor.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career solicitor to build a strong foundation in private practice across a broad range of matters in wills and estates, residential and commercial property, and business law. You’ll work closely with partners and experienced solicitors in a supportive and collaborative team environment, with genuine mentoring and opportunities for growth.

What the role involves:

Drafting wills, enduring powers of attorney and estate planning documents

Estate administration, including probate and letters of administration

Conveyancing (residential and commercial) and leasing

Assisting in structuring, sale and purchase of businesses

Providing general advice to a diverse mix of clients including individuals, SMEs, and family businesses

Attending to client interviews, legal research, document preparation and settlements

Who we’re looking for:

A Queensland admitted solicitor with a current practising certificate (QLS PC preferred)

0–2 years PAE in relevant areas (graduates with strong clerkship or PLT experience will also be considered)

Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail

A proactive attitude, genuine client focus and willingness to learn

A team player who is organised, reliable and committed to a career in regional private practice

Unfortunately, no remote work positions are available for this role. The role requires working from the office.
