The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and an accomplished senior lawyer to join our team. You will be directly working with the principal of the firm and gain invaluable exposure and mentorship to broader areas within the team's practice. Your client portfolio will include a range of well-reputable clients, including: -

Local property developers;

Owners of commercial property; and

Well established business owners.

This role offers the opportunity to work with high-caliber clients, providing strategic legal advice and building long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: -

Overseeing property transactions (residential, commercial and industrial);

Preparing off-the-plan residential contracts (both under the Land Sales Act 1984 and Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997);

Preparing leases (commercial or under Retail Shop Leases Act 1994 (Qld) and ancillary documents;

Overseeing and advising on business disposals and acquisitions;

Contract drafting, review and negotiations (both residential and commercial);

Drafting, advising and negotiating a range of commercial agreements including: -

Joint venture agreements;

Shareholders agreements;

Share sale agreements;

loan agreements; and

Collaborate with our team to drive the firm's growth and success

Moreover, you would also be provided with opportunities and assistance to manage and grow your own client portfolio with a focus on building long-term relationships.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will have: -

Post admission experience (PAE) minimum 3 to 5 years with experience in property and commercial law;

Strong technical skills and attention to detail;

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities;

Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships;

Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team; and

The ability to proritise tasks appropriately and display initiative.
