Play Educate are looking for Neuroaffirming Psychologists to join our team.
We are currently hiring contractors with the potential for Permanent Part or Full Time in future.
Minimum 6 month contract with flexible hours and days.
Professionally:
Psychologists with General Registration status with AHPRA
Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist
A minimum of 12 months experience conducting standardised assessments
Minimum 12 months experience working with children, adolescents and their families, particularly neurodivergent clients
Previous experience working within a school environment (preferred, but not essential)
Excellent report writing skills and experience
Strong administrative, organisation, recording keeping compliance skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Personally:
· Passionate about working with children and families
· Lived experience or very solid grasp of neurodiversity
· Can work autonomously, whilst knowing you can always body double with team members if needed
· Warm, Friendly, Approachable, Honest, Authentic… all the good human vibes
· You take your work seriously whilst not taking yourself too seriously
· You are a creative thinker, an analytic thinker and compassionate
Bonus skills:
· The director really embodies being a play therapist, an ability of tolerating her mediocre moonwalking past your office door may come in handy.

· You are open to completing outreach work
Your Role will include:
Client referrals aimed to match your skill level and interests.
5 billable report hours/sessions maximum in a 7.5 hour day

Multimodality support and peer consultation opportunities.
Access to external supervision with suitably qualified and experienced Board Approved Supervisors.
Neurodevelopmental assessments and one on one therapeutic psychology/OT/Speech sessions.
Weekly team debriefs/lunches
As a Psychologist your responsibilities include;
Maintaining case notes, file management and adhering to the required legal and ethical standards as outlined by the relevant registration bodies and legislation policies
One on one counselling psychology sessions
Completing required assessments (cognitive, educational and neurodevelopmental)
Preparation of assessment reports and management of ongoing correspondence with care team members, education staff and other allied health practitioners, following the company’s guidelines and ethics
Contribution to the development of new programs and practice specific clinical resources
