Job Title: Intake & Triage Psychologist - 3 Month Contract Position
Location: Queensland, Australia
About Us: JPS Medical Recruitment is a leading medical personele services provider dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities through providing high quality staffing for rural and remote medical services. We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Intake & Triage Psychologists to join our team on a contract basis in Mareeba, Woodford, Gatton, Stuart and Rockhampton, flights and accomodation included.
Position Overview: As a corrections Intake & Triage Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing initial assessments, conducting triage evaluations, and facilitating the seamless entry of clients into our mental health programs. This role is designed to ensure that individuals receive timely and appropriate care tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to gather relevant information about clients' mental health history, current challenges, and treatment goals.
Utilize standardized assessment tools to determine the urgency and priority of cases, ensuring timely access to services.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need of immediate assistance.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to enhance the integration of services.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Master's degree in Psychology or a related field.
Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and eligibility for membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Proven experience in conducting intake assessments, triage evaluations, and crisis intervention.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
Contract Details: This position is offered on a contract basis. The contract duration will be negotiable based on organizational requirements and the successful candidate's availability with a maximum innitial contract of 12 weeks with extension options built in.
